Community Integration Supports

(Code 331)

Community Integration Supports (CIS) is designed to help individuals with disabilities engage more fully in their communities by developing essential skills for socialization, independence, and self-advocacy. This service supports access to community activities, building relationships with non-disabled peers, and developing adaptive skills in real-world settings

Creating a Roadmap for Independence

Community participation thrives on structure and predictability. A well-planned schedule helps individuals gradually build confidence in social settings, transportation, and community activities. By setting clear routines for outings, social engagements, and skill-building exercises, families can reduce anxiety and support gradual independence in a way that feels safe and manageable..

Shining in the Community

Every child deserves the chance to shine in their own way, and community participation helps build self-confidence and a sense of belonging. Through guided social interactions, communication skills, and real-world practice, individuals learn to navigate social settings, advocate for themselves, and build meaningful relationships—all at a pace that honors their unique strengths.

Taking Steps Toward Community Confidence

Community Integration Supports helps individuals navigate social spaces, build independence, and engage with confidence. Whether it’s joining an art class, attending a social event, or exploring public spaces, I work with families to create step-by-step plans that balance safety, independence, and meaningful participation in the community.

Moving Forward with Purpose

Gaining independence in the community doesn’t happen overnight—it’s a process of small, intentional steps. Community Integration Supports focuses on realistic goal-setting, gradual exposure, and safety strategiesto help individuals move forward confidently while ensuring they feel supported and prepared for each new challenge.

Building Independence: Safe, Supported, and Ready

IHelping a neurodiverse child engage with the world isn’t as simple as “just getting out there.” Community Integration Supports focuses on real-world skill-building—helping parents create safe, structured plans for their child to explore new environments, build social connections, and gain independence at a pace that works for them. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Behavioral Interventionist, and Autism Mom, I bring expertise in behavioral strategies, social-emotional development, and real-life problem-solving to help families balance independence with safety. Whether it’s navigating public spaces, understanding social cues, or preparing for group activities, I provide practical, step-by-step guidance so parents feel confident, and children feel empowered to engage with their community.
